This book featured in so many lists of the best of 2021 I had to get a copy. I am so glad I did! Black's way of working and telling a story is just brilliant. I love the aesthetic, and it reminds me in some ways of Salgado: photographing in this case a "difficult" subject in a truly beautiful way. The rich tones of these black and white photographs are for me a joy to behold. Fortunately the work itself is incredibly strong too!
