The Kings Speech. Ubukhozi Bamampondo Lukhuselo

The late King Justice Mpondombini Sigcau recorded this speech from his hospital room at One Military Hospital in Tshwane, to address amaMpondo on the kingship dispute that had arisen in 2006 over who was the rightful iKumkani of amaMpondo ase Qaukeni. He explains his action to challenge President Zuma and the Commission for Traditional Leadership Disputes and Claims for their decision to depose him in favour of his nephew Zanozuko Sigcau. iKumkani Thandizulu! passed away on 25th March 2013. On 13th June 2013 the Constitutional Court handed down a unanimous judgement upholding his application and setting aside President Zuma's naming of Zanuzuko Sigcau as King of AmaMpondo. Thandizulu!
