StoveTec FireFly Lantern - Burn Test #2 - Wood Pellets - Check For Smoke

Yesterday I did my first burn test on the StoveTec FireFly Lantern. In that burn test I said that I didn't see any smoke coming from the Lantern. Since then I've received several messages saying that I must have missed the smoke because I did the test in the dusk and the dark and would I do the test in the daylight so we can see the smoke.

I think these people must have seen some of the other videos where people tried to use the Lantern incorrectly and ended up with a smokey mess.

So what I did in this video is run the test in the daylight and I kept the Latern on camera the whole time. I sat there for almost thirty minutes without any smoke that is until the wind blew out the flames. When the flame went out the Lantern smoked like it was go‌ing out of style. But when I re-lighted it the smoke went away and everything was smoke-free for the rest of the video. I sped up the boring parts of the video but I think you can see that there wasn't any smoke until the flames went out.

I really don't think the FireFly can be used as a regular wood stove. Also one thing I noticed is that I don't think it can be refueled during the burn. I have the feeling you have to let the fuel load burn completely out, then empty the fuel chamber, and start it up again. I'll have to test that out.

I'm still impressed with the Lantern so far.
