Alex decided to build his career independently despite receiving offers from all major labels. He maintains control over his career so that his focus on art and social awareness doesn't get watered down by the need to maximize profit.[2]

Gonzalez claims that after rap he would like to direct his own films. He already directs his own music videos which are very popular and have over 400 million views on youtube.[3]

He was influenced musically by the G-funk flavor of 90s West Coast rap about women, weed and palm trees, especially that of California hip-hop staples Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Eazy-E among others, as well as Mexican folk ballads called corridos music.[4]

A lowrider (sometimes low rider) is a customized car with a lowered body.[1] These customized vehicles are generally individually painted with intricate, colorful designs, rolling on wire-spoke wheels with whitewall tires. Lowrider rims are generally smaller than the original wheels, ranging down to 13 inches. They are also fitted with hydraulic[2] or air bag systems that allow height adjustable suspension, where the vehicle is raised or lowered at the owner's command.[3] Given these specific characteristics, while a lowrider is always a lowered car, a lowered car is not always a lowrider. The term is used to describe a class of vehicle, not simply the height from ground to chassis.

The term lowrider can also refer to the driver of the car.
