Bukedi Sub Region has endorsed, hon. Lydia Wanyoto Mutende to retain her CEC Women’s League seat.

Delegates from Bukedi I and Bukedi II today afternoon had an engagement with CEC Members.

At the Link Way Hotel in Tororo, delegates from Busia, Tororo, and Tororo Municipality welcomed CEC Members who are traversing the whole country seeking the CEC mandate.

Later, the delegation proceeded to Budaka to meet with Bukedi II delegates of Kibuku, Palisa, Butaleja, and Budaka

Hon. Lydia Wanyoto Mutende emphasised that CEC role is to inclucate policies to cabinet that are then forwarded to Parliament for approval to influence the country's development

Wanyoto said the CEC position doesn't give money directly but promote policies that influence development

Sighting an example of PDM where she fostered for the 30% for women of the UGX 100 million allocated to Parishes since women are the majority in this country.

In attendance, were Dr Chris Baryomunsi Vice Chairperson NRM Western Uganda who also doubles as the minister for ICT and National guidance, Hon. Kiwanda Godfrey Subi, Vice Chairperson, NRM Central Region, Fatuma Namukose, for Vice Chairperson Women’s League Central Region, Peace Kansime, Vice Chairperson Women’s League Western Uganda

The delegates conference is scheduled for 27th August, where the National Executive Committee and other delegates are to decide on the next NRM top leaders
