For practical exam for Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetician, and Manicuring, NO MORE MODELS are required; a mannequin head, a table clamp, and a plastic hand is necessary to participate in the examination for the State Board License for NIC examination. The manicuring hand needs to have artificial nails attached for all 5 fingers. Two doll heads are allowed for cosmetology to finish procedures, if necessary. Barbers can bring a model for shave and a haircut, but all other state board procedures need to be done on a mannequin. The mannequin needs to have adequate hair for the hairdresser and barber to perform the required state board procedures. All electrology students will have live models at this time. This is a video with Valuable information for beauty and barber school students, manicurists and esthetician candidates, and all applicants for state board to pass their test and get their licensees.
