For practical exam for Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetician, and Manicuring, NO MORE MODELS are required; a mannequin head, a table clamp, and a plastic hand is necessary to participate in the examination for the State Board License for NIC examination. The manicuring hand needs to have artificial nails attached for all 5 fingers. Two doll heads are allowed for cosmetology to finish procedures, if necessary. Barbers can bring a model for shave and a haircut, but all other state board procedures need to be done on a mannequin. The mannequin needs to have adequate hair for the hairdresser and barber to perform the required state board procedures. All electrology students will have live models at this time.
