National Institute of Technology Nagaland has announced admissions for its PhD Program (Full-Time/Part-Time/Sponsored) and Integrated PhD Program for the year 2025-26. This detailed notification, issued on
August 11, 2025, covers various engineering and science disciplines. The institute is located in Chumukedima - 797103, Nagaland. The PhD programs are available in CE (Civil Engineering), EEE (Electrical and Electronics Engineering), ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering), CSE (Computer Science and Engineering), EIE (Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering), ME (Mechanical Engineering), and S&H (Science & Humanities - Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry).

Integrated PhD is offered only for all engineering departments in full-time mode. Interdisciplinary Research (IR) options are also available.

Eligibility Criteria:
PhD in Engineering: Requires a Master's degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent with a minimum First class and 6.5 CGPA/CPI or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates). Other eligible degrees include MS by Research, 5-year integrated Masters/Dual Degree, BS+MS (5-year integrated course) from a CFTI, or MBBS with a Master degree, all with the same minimum percentage/CGPA requirement.

PhD in Science & Humanities (S&H): Requires a Master's degree in Science/Humanities/M.E./M.Tech or MS by Research/BS+MS (5-year integrated course) from a CFTI with a minimum First class and 6.5 CGPA/CPI or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

Integrated PhD Program (Only for Engineering): Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a minimum 8.5 CGPA or 80% marks and a valid GATE score. The GATE score is exempted if the qualifying B.E./B.Tech. degree is from an IIT/NIT or any CFTI with the required CGPA/marks. Candidates awaiting final year results are eligible to apply for all programs, subject to submission of passing certificates at the time of admission. Candidates without GATE/NET qualification are also eligible to apply for HTRA, subject to fund availability.

Application Process and Fee Details:
Candidates must apply through the downloaded application form only.
The non-refundable application fee is Rs. 1000/- SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from the fee.

The duly filled application form, along with enclosures and payment proof, must be sent by Registered Post only.
The last date for receiving the application is 20-10-2025.
