And so here is part three of Irish Rail's Engineering Trains 2020 from April - May.

This video features the following engineering train types, HOBS Train, CWR Train, Materials Train & Spoil Train.

All videos were taken in Dublin due to the current restrictions.


0:00 - 0:46, Friday 10th April 2020, here we are at Portmarnock station where we see Irish Rail's Retro 071 class loco number 073 passing with a North Wall - Malahide HOBS Train.

0:46 - 1:41, Later on that night in the very early hours of the morning we see retro 073 passing through a deserted Howth Junction with a Malahide - North Wall HOBS Train.

1:41 - 2:28, The next day we are back at Howth Junction where we see 081 passing through with a Portlaoise - Platin CWR Train.

2:28 - 3:29, Wednesday 15th April 2020, here we are at Claude Road in Drumcondra where we see Retro 073 passing with a Portlaoise - North Wall empty Materials Train.

3:29 - 5:21, Thursday 16th April 2020, the next day we see Retro 073 passing Ossory Road with a North Wall - Portlaoise Materials Train.

5:21 - 6:10, Having been held at Ossory Road to allow the Sligo Service to pass we again see retro 073 this time passing Claude Road with a North Wall - Portlaoise Materials Train.

6:10 - 7:48, Tuesday 28th April 2020, here we see 080 arriving into North Wall with an empty Materials Train from Portlaoise.

7:48 - 8:50 Later that night we again see 080 this time passing Portmarnock with a North Wall - Malahide (Quarry) Materials / Spoil Train.

8:50 - 9:45, Tuesday 30th April 2020, here we see 080 passing Claude Road in Drumcondra with a North Wall - Portlaoise Materials Train.

9:45 - 10:38, Friday 1st May 2020, here we see 081 passing Ossory Road with a Portlaoise - North Wall empty Materials Train.

10:38 - 13:00, Sunday 3rd May 2020, Quite a rare move where we see both 084 and 081 top and tailed on a HOBS Train seen here departing North Wall Yard.

13:00 - 13:50, We again see 084 and 081 passing through Grand Canal Dock with a North Wall - Dún Laoghaire HOBS Train.

13:50 - 15:36, Later that day we see 084 & 081 departing Dún Laoghaire with a HOBS Train to North Wall.

15:36 - 17:24 And finally we see 081 & 084 arriving back at North Wall yard with a HOBS Train from Dún Laoghaire.
