Converting Tape to Poured Glue? A Diamond Painting Experiment

Hi, crafting friends! Let's find out if it's possible to salvage this HomFun canvas I've had in my stash since spring 2019. The artwork is beautiful (Tree of Life by William Morris), but it hasn't aged well, and rather than chuck it I thought I might try to replace the adhesive using Dotz Stick from Diamond Dotz. The product says "ideal for LARGE areas," so let's put that to the test!

I just applied with one foam brush that I washed between coats with warm, soapy water.
