Controversial Queen Meera entry into politics |Decision to join Tehreek-e-Insaf

enter politics. The actress has joined Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Meera also said that she will soon hold a press conference to talk about her #decision to join #politics.

MEERA JOINS IMRAN KHAN'S PARTY
Last month, Meera asked Imran Khan for help, alleging that land-grabbers kidnapped her mom over a land dispute. Now, the actress has decided to step into politics herself. She told a Pakistani news channel that she is disappointed with the world of showbiz and therefore decided to join politics. She said to Geo News, "I am heartbroken with the world of showbiz and have decided to join politics."

However, this isn't Meera's first stint in politics. The actress had announced that she would contest the polls against PTI chairman Imran Khan and #MuttahidaQaumiMovement (#MQM)’s #SarfarazNawaz in 2013. Meera had reportedly contested for the Lahore constituency NA-126.

WHEN #MEERA'S MOM WAS #KIDNAPPED BY #LAND-#GRABBERS
In June, Meera had claimed that her mother was kidnapped by land-grabbers. The actress also submitted an application to Capital City Police Office (#CCPO) Lahore regarding a #propertyIssue.

In an interview with Express Tribune, Meera said, “I am being threatened by Mian Shahid Mahmood, he is a land-grabber who is trying to illegally take over my family property after agreeing to live there as a tenant. This person kidnapped my mother and now he is doing his best to get hold of my family property. I have submitted an application to CCPO #Lahore as well, and appeal to the PM of Pakistan to take notice of this issue.”

She added, “I have dedicated my entire career to this country, and I await the government’s response against property-grabbing elements.”

Meera has worked in many Hindi films. These include Kasak, Nazar, Paanch Ghantey Mien Paanch Crore, Bhadaas, Bumper Draw and Sheitaan. Her real name is Irtiza Rubab.
