First Look: Seedsigner running on Luckfox Pico linux devboard

Описание к видео First Look: Seedsigner running on Luckfox Pico linux devboard

This is a first look demo of the SeedSigner Bitcoin hardware wallet running on the Luckfox Pico linux development board.

The SeedSigner originally was designed to run on a Raspberry Pi Zero linux board, but there are a multitude of reasons why having alternative hardware platforms to run this DIY hardware wallet would be beneficial to the project.

The Luckfox Pico + Camera is as cheap or cheaper than the equivalent Raspberry Pi. The stack itself is a bit more open-source, unlike the Raspberry Pi which has a lot of the code being proprietary of Broadcom.

In addition, it provides more optionality in the SeedSigner supply chain.

Lastly, there is also concurrent work to port the SeedSigner to a true Embedded System, running MicroPython. In my opinion, that option likely requires more significant changes to the SeedSigner code, in order to use things like LVGL. In contrast, this board is running the 99% of the stock SeedSigner code, with relatively small changes added to support the camera, buttons, and screen.

This is the first video of many related to this work, this one is kind of rough, but I had to get it out there and show people!

At the end of the video, I started to get some button debounce noise causing weird issues. Please get in touch if you want to get involved with the project!
