Welcome to Cantarama. This video is a general overview, including how I present it to my class, and more details about the membership and contests.

What is it?: Students listen to a playlist of 16 songs in Spanish and each week they vote in their classes for their favorite. There is a single-elimination tournament bracket so the losing song is eliminated and the winner moves on to the next round.

Teachers and students can vote in their class, learn about the songs, and participate in a bracket contest/tournament if they want.

For $25, teachers can join Concursos Cantarama which makes your students and whole classes eligible for the contests and prizes. The money from the membership gets pooled together to buy incredible prizes all sourced from Latino-owned businesses.

There are 6 individual contests, 2 class contest, + the 3 prizes for the national raffle (2 student prize raffles for a perfect bracket and the "beat the founder" category + a teacher drawing for everyone in Concursos Cantarama")
