How to make kovakkai fry at home. This is a simple and tastiest way to eat kovakkai. This kovakkai fry goes well with steamed rice and any kulambu or rasam. It is crispy and tasty than the usual poriyal and kootu method. Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you. ❤

➡️INGREDIENTS FOR IVY GOURD FRY:
Ivy gourd 15 to 25
Rice flour 2 tbsp
Gram flour 1 tbsp
Corn flour 1 tbsp
Oil for frying
Salt as required

Spice powder:
Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder 1/4 tsp

➡️PREPARATION FOR IVY GOURD FRY:
1. Take around 15 to 20 Ivy gourds. Clean them in water.
2. Chop the sides and cut them into long pieces and put it in a mixing bowl.
3. Add Salt, chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, rice flour and mix everything well. While mixing it will leave some water.
4. Then add gram flour and corn flour , mix them well. Our marinated ivy gourd is ready.

➡️METHOD FOR IVY GOURD FRY:
1. Heat oil in a pan for frying.
2. Fry the ivy gourds in hot oil on medium flame. ( Add the ivy gourds separately in the oil so that they won't stick together).
3. Cook it on both the sides untill it turns cryspy and golden brown.
4. Our IVY GOURD FRY is ready. We can have it as a snacks or as a side dish for rice.
