...Source: https://cnevpost.com/2025/01/02/db-on... Transcript: According to China EV Post, Nio Inc. reported record-breaking December deliveries. The company delivered 31,138 vehicles last month, surpassing the 30,000 mark for the first time. This brought fourth-quarter deliveries to 72,689 vehicles, meeting its guidance of 72,000 to 75,000.

The Nio main brand delivered 20,610 vehicles in December, a 14% increase from December last year and a 33% rise from November. The Onvo sub-brand delivered 10,528 vehicles, a significant jump of 107% compared to November. Onvo's growth follows the launch of its first model, the L60, in late September.

Analysts at Deutsche Bank attribute the growth to promotions and improved supply chains. Nio offered cash subsidies ranging from $680 to $1,360 on various models and introduced discounts on vehicles aged 10 to 30 days. Additionally, Nio enhanced its battery-as-a-service program, offering more payment waivers in December compared to November.

Onvo's growth was supported by additional battery suppliers and a strong order backlog. Analysts also noted that some buyers expedited purchases in December due to concerns about potential reductions in government trade-in subsidies worth $2,740 per vehicle.
