Today we are replacing axle U-joints in a Jeep Wrangler. As you can see the ones that I'm dealing with are very rusty. I used an air hammer and a balljoint press to press out the universal joints and install new ones. As far as how to replace the universal joints the procedure similar on any vehicle with a solid front axle. Remove the retaining clips, press the old U joint out, and press the new u joint back in.
