4/22/1978 - This day in 1978 The One Love Peace concert is held in Kingston Jamaica . During a time of much political conflict this concert was to help bring the people together as we were told . Bob Marley returned to Jamaica to headline the concert . In one of most memorable moments in Jamaican and Reggae music history the two opposing party leaders Prime Minister Michael Manley and Edward Seaga the leader of the Jamaican Labor Party come together with Bob Marley in the middle to shake hands in peace . Though it seems the handshake was just a political stunt and staged event it was a powerful moment and brought inspiration to many to come together in love peace and unity as one . 🙏🏼❤️
