In class, we include fun obstacle courses to build your dog’s confidence. This will help your dog learn to cope with all sorts of different situations they might encounter. Dogs that are more confident cope better with stress and have a more positive outlook on life. Dogs that learn to overcome small challenges are more resilient.

This training exercise also helps your dog to learn to walk nicely on lead as it teaches your dog to pay attention to you and to respond to your guidance.

Use food and cheerful praise to make the activity fun for your dog. Don’t force your dog to do anything, let them explore at their own pace.

Include a variety of different objects and surfaces to walk over and to step on. Make sure objects are suitable and safe, and don't let puppies jump up and down off high objects.
