Running from Preston to Blaenau Ffestiniog, RTC's yearly West Coast Railway Company operated steam train to Blaenau Ffestiniog was once again in the hands of Scots Guardsman. We first see the Royal Scot starting off from being looped to be passed by service trains at Frodsham Junction, crossing the River Weaver at Sutton Weaver. The train had a further stop in Frodsham station meaning time to head over to the other end of the town and seeing in some wonderful morning light 46115 steaming away from Frosham towards Helsby and Chester.

We then move onto the Conwy Valley Branch itself with a pair of shots between Pont-y-pant and Dolwyddelan, with the locomotive working hard.

After running round its train at Blaenau Ffestiniog, we see the loco heading tender first back to Llandudno at Betws-y-coed station, home of the Conwy Valley Railway Museum.

With a further reversal and run round at Llandudno Junction, we move onto Rhyl, with the train racing ahead of schedule over the River Clwyd from Kinmel Bay. This location is right by the Rhyl Miniature Railway.

Finally we return to Frodsham and the River Weaver, with Scots Guardsman see crossing the River Weaver after its station stop at Frodsham.
