Every crypto scam uses the same playbook.

Fake accounts impersonate legitimate channels, YouTubers, advisors. They DM you with "investment opportunities," "giveaways," or "personalized advice." All of them are trying to steal your money or crypto.

Real advisors and channels never DM first. If someone reaches out claiming to be associated with a legitimate source, it's a scam. No exceptions.

Verification checks:

Official accounts have verification badges (but scammers fake these too, so also check follower count and post history)
Real channels link to their official social media in video descriptions
Legitimate people never ask for crypto upfront or promise guaranteed returns

Common scam patterns:

"Send 1 ETH, get 2 back" - classic doubling scam
"Verify your wallet by connecting to this site" - drains your wallet
"Special investment opportunity, limited time" - pressure tactics to stop you from thinking
"I'm from [channel name] support team" - no legitimate crypto project has DM support

If something feels off, it probably is. When in doubt, ignore it. You'll never miss a real opportunity by being cautious, but you can lose everything by trusting the wrong message.

No legitimate person or project needs you to act immediately. Scammers do, because thinking breaks their scheme.
