As the investigation continues to find the motive behind a deadly shooting in New York City on Monday night, questions also remain surrounding the suspect's weapons and how he obtained them.

NYPD officers are looking into the gun 27-year-old Shane Tamura used to kill four people at a New York City high-rise, as well as another gun found in his car after the attack.

"Our team is going to Las Vegas to do a thorough investigation into the firearms to find out they were legally possessed, and they were on his permit, and was he allowed to follow," said New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Tuesday.

Detectives issued search warrants at two Las Vegas homes associated with Tamura and a gun store.
