Hello welcome everyone for those new to the channel I am Matthew a nearly 25 year veteran of the game I play mostly Commander and Draft .Today we are going to do my traditional release Draft video for the new MTG set Avatar the Last Airbender .The set is based on the cartoon / live action series that I had not seen before recently .It is all available on Netflix and worth a watch if you want a bit more context to the cards .As all ways I show you the draft process and explain the elemental focused mechanics and show game play from the entire event .This was my 1st go at the set I have lots of drafting experience but I will make mistakes .Drafting for those new to the game is a different way to play you do not start with a constructed deck and suitable for all skill levels .You build a 40 card deck by taking cards 1 at a time from packs passed round in a circle .It is a way to see cards that will not see play in most other formats and requires a different skill set to constructed .It is a better way to acquire cards and get more value as mainly in paper the drafts do not cost much more than the raw packs .Now you also get credit towards daily wins in MTG Arena as well for playing in sanctioned paper events .This premier Draft on arena is 10000 gold I play best of ones for time so video is around a hour best of 3 is better .All cosmetics I used were from the season pass including Ang avatar and sleeves .I open a build around card I would not normally recommend playing a mono colour deck in draft .Drafts are played till 7 wins or 3 losses gameplay is captured using Streamlabs Desktop on PC(video may not have HDR to release sooner) .Thanks for watching please like/hype comment and subscribe it helps grow the community .I have been going 3 years on You Tube over 100 videos focused on MTG/CCG and videogames .Lots more planned I mention in the video I was building Captain Sisay for Historic Brawl have just finished it but it needs refinement.
