A Navajo Veteran’s Journey From Vietnam to Today

Описание к видео A Navajo Veteran’s Journey From Vietnam to Today

We're back with Rose Weigan, a retired OR nurse who served two tours in Vietnam, but this time our conversation starts with life after the military. A combination of having gotten a taste for living in another country along with good old fashioned racism back home in the States inspired Rose and her husband to travel and live abroad. Despite being a civilian, Rose's life would eventually be disrupted again by major world events. Join me in this concluding episode as I discover how Rose's perspective of herself as a military veteran--and on war in general--has changed over the years and has led to an unlikely trip to Washington, D.C., that involved Oscar-winner Wes Studi and a miraculous sign marking the significance of her journey from Vietnam to today.
