Grigory Lipmanovich Sokolov (Russian: Григо́рий Ли́пманович Соколо́в; born April 18, 1950) is a Russian pianist.
In 1966, 16-year-old Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) ninth-grader Grigory Sokolov sensationally became the winner of the third International Tchaikovsky Competition.
