The fellowship God seeks with man is the state or the place where we are in partnership with God, sharing and participating together, in communion, in intimacy with God, with hearts joined together, in or by a covenant. We can also define the
nature of fellowship as a covenant word because it implies the same kind of unity that the Father has with Jesus. Without covenant, there is no fellowship, and where there is no fellowship, there is no relationship.

In a covenant, the joining of hearts
and the giving of hearts takes place.
