Описание к видео Amtrak Cascades Series 6 Talgo Trains: A Final Look

As of June 29th, 2020, Amtrak's Series 6 Talgo train consists have been retired from Amtrak Cascades trains. These unique train consists have been in the service on the Cascades since the start, but their time is finally up. Their design and rail performance make them one of the most unique and aesthetically looking trains in the United States. In this video, you'll see various shots of Amtrak Cascades trains throughout the years with the Series 6 Talgo sets used. Amtrak F59PHI's are also featured, in various clips from 2018. In my personal opinion, one of the best looking train consists around!

What does the future hold for the Cascades route? Currently, two existing Talgo Series 8 sets are running on the Cascades route. These are supplemented by Horizon coach cars, on a temporary lease from Amtrak. Within the year, two new Talgo Series 8 sets (built for the state of Wisconsin) will enter service, making up for the loss from the Series 6 being retired.

Farewell Series 6, thanks for the memories!

As always, thanks for watching! | Video and Content by MichaelLovesTrains 2020
