An oversized New Zealand cap badge sparks curiosity about its exact use. Perhaps one of the most historically valuable finds is the India General Service Medal (India Mutiny) from 1829, issued to John Caldwell of His Majesty’s 27th Regiment—a tangible connection to 19th-century British military history.

Postcard collectors will be drawn to the rare 208th Battalion Quartermaster Staff and 5th Platoon unit photo postcards from WWI. These embossed and inscribed cards are exceptionally well-preserved, offering glimpses of Canadian soldiers’ lives during the First World War. The haul also features a seven-button WWI Canadian tunic with a snake belt, and a heartfelt 1917 Toronto postcard sent from father to son, a poignant reminder of wartime correspondence and homefront history.
