Shani Mahatmya - The Glory of Lord Shani (Planet Saturn) in English

Описание к видео Shani Mahatmya - The Glory of Lord Shani (Planet Saturn) in English

The Shani Mahatmya has been narrated based on the English translation of the Marathi folktale by the poet Sri Tatyaji Mahapati, made available by Anand Gupte ji on his website: http://anand-gupte.tripod.com/shani.html. Please be aware, I have not found these verses to originate from the Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads, or any Vedic Sanskrit text as yet.

Offering my deepest gratitude to be able to read this text when I was called to do so. I apologise in advance should there be any unintentional errors in the contents of this text, ritual guidance or information being shared via this post. May the Divine continue to guide us all.

"Nilanjana Samabhasam,
Raviputram Yamaagrajam,
Chhaya Maartanda Sambhootam, Tham Namaami Shanaishcharam"

"Om Sham Shanaishcharaya Namaha"

Shani Mahatmya is a recommended text to be read during the period of your life when the influence of the Planet Saturn is strong within your horoscope, usually during the Sade-Saati (7 1/2 years of the influence of Saturn in your Horoscope). By the exertion of the gravitational pull on one's psyche, Saturn impacts your innate nature (svabhava), in order to complete the tough lessons that have been prescribed for you by your Karmic Runabandha and soul lessons for your highest evolution.

The more you listen to this simple story, the more you may understand the implications of allowing our innate nature to be out of control during the vagaries of life. We indeed shall have to reap what we sow. Therefore, practise your sadhana diligently with devotion and divine surrender.

Another recommended reading is from the 3rd installment of Dr. Robert Svobodha's book - Aghora - III - Law of Karma for further understanding on how our karmic actions (Blessings & Curses) impact our journey on this planet. Ellaborating how the 9 planets play their part in maturing the latent Karmic seeds lodged in our Causal body to complete and how no one including Rishi Mandala were not excluded from its effects. Indeed every Cause has its effect, the extent of which can be negated by the fruits of our pure intentions and good karma in this or next birth.

May this recording help those who have found their way to this post and may they find the guidance of an adept to appropriately guide them through this process.

Note: Navagraha means "nine celestial bodies of the universe " in Sanskrit and are nine astronomical bodies as well as deities in Hinduism and Indian astrology. The term is derived from nava (Sanskrit: नव "nine") and graha (Sanskrit: ग्रह "planet, seizing, laying hold of, holding") and has been mentioned in ancient vedic times based on the intensity of effect they have on the living matter on planet Earth.
In this narration, the Sun, Moon and the northern and Southern Eclipse are also included as part of the 9 Grahas (Planets). Thus, this is not intended to confuse or contradict the current listing of planets as per western astronomy.

Should you have any feedback, recommendations or suggestions for correction, please do feel free to reach out to me. Thank you.
