OLD COIN DATES REVEALED! SHIELD, LIBERTY HEAD AND BUFFALO NICKEL DATES FOUND USING NIC A DATE

Today, we are using nic a date to see if we can reveal the dates off of some old shield, liberty head, and buffalo nickels. These coins are extremely old worn down- let's see if we can reveal the dates!

COIN INFO
Shield Nickels: 1866-1883
Note: The 1866 and a small percentage of the 1867 shield nickels had rays in between the stars on the reverse of the coin. Shield nickels also have a diameter that is slightly smaller than an average nickel today
Liberty Head (or V) Nickels: 1883-1913
Note: The 1913 liberty head nickel does exist, but there are only 5 known examples. Legend has it that there is a 6th example out there some where.
Buffalo Nickels: 1913-1938
Note: the 1913 buffalo nickel had two types: type I and type II. The first type was far to prone to wear on the date region.
