Thorium: Nuclear panacea or a bomb waiting to happen

Copenhagen Atomics is developing a thorium reactor that they promise will provide an endless supply of inexpensive, clean, and safe energy, having their first commercial reactor before 2030. Is there any chance of that happening. Or might their reactors explode like a nuclear weapon.
