This is one of the videos I made for Anime Weekend Atlanta's Accolades (Professional) contest in 2023 and while it didn't end up winning there it actually won the Weirdest Boner Award at Youmacon a week later! For context: this is considered to be the video that causes the judges to go on break in judging either due to laughter or pain or sorrow. Basically the runner up to best in show or the video besides best in show that provoked the strongest emotional reaction from the judges.

My wife and I went to go see Barbarian, a strange and memorable film to say the least and we got to looking up who the actors were on the way home. We find out who the person was who played the "Mother" and tracked down his youtube channel and he had a song he recorded that was about him and his dog.

That song just so happened to fit particularly well with aspects of his character in Barbarian and my wife thought it would be hilarious to put the two together.

Then we found the Nightmare Before Christmas stage play which was just fucking bonkers and we thought it would be funny to make a demo reel for him from whatever we could find to submit it to the accolades to mess with everyone.

I tracked down his cameo page and he was a little confused at first of course but once I explained what the con/VAT was he was all in on it.
