The last governor of Hong Kong has hit back at accusations he’s a ‘black hand’ still meddling in the city’s affairs.

Lord Chris Patten was Hong Kong governor from 1992 until the territory was handed back to China in 1997.

He told the ABC’s The World it’s a ‘preposterous’ accusation, and China is to blame for creating a generation of people who want independence from the mainland.
