Section 126 of the Transfer of Property Act
This section prohibits the revocation of a validly executed gift, unless the circumstances mentioned in the section apply.

Revocation conditions
The Supreme Court has explained the conditions for revoking a gift deed under Section 126 of the Transfer of Property Act.

In the case of a senior citizen who feels they need to cancel a gift deed, there are legal provisions that allow them to take back their property. For example, the Karnataka High Court allowed a mother to void a gift deed that transferred property to her son, after he refused to assist her in old age.
