A grey, overcast day at Rotherham Central provided ideal conditions for capturing both train services and the Tram-Train network operating between Sheffield Cathedral and Parkgate, run by Stagecoach Supertram—also known as South Yorkshire Supertram. The tram stop is directly integrated with the railway station, offering a rare opportunity to film trams, which is not a usual focus in my content.

While Rotherham Central isn't among the busiest stations in the region—especially when compared to places like Barnsley Interchange—it still offered a respectable mix of movement. This included Northern Trains services, Tram-Train operations, and even some freight traffic. Fortunately, I managed to capture a freight train passing through on my platform after missing one earlier on the opposite side.

Although my knowledge of the Supertram network is limited, this video features a solid combination of both trains and trams worth watching.

Includes: Class 66 freight locomotive, Northern Class 150 Sprinter and Class 158 Express Sprinter units, and South Yorkshire Supertram Citylink tram-trains
