Based on Alstom’s advanced Prima T8 platform, the WAG-12B features cutting-edge AC-AC traction technology, regenerative braking for energy efficiency, and microprocessor-based controls for superior performance. It has a top speed of 120 km/h and a Co-Co axle configuration for better load distribution and traction. With advanced safety features like train collision avoidance systems (TCAS) and fire detection, the WAG-12B is a significant addition to India’s efforts to modernize its freight operations.
