I’m calling to urge Attorney General Rob Bonta to continue to take action against Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) for pausing the initiation of puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and gender-affirming surgeries for trans youth.
This decision harms trans youth, violates medical ethics, and goes against California state law, which protects access to gender-affirming care. CHLA is still providing similar treatments to cisgender youth, meaning this is clear discrimination.
I’m asking the Attorney General to investigate CHLA’s decision and take action to ensure trans youth continue receiving life-saving care.
