In looking o'er God's calendar of days I was surprised to see how blind I'd been,
for in it I saw time for prayer and praise with not an single moment left for sin.

In God's Calendar of days there are times for prayer and praise and the joys we find in service are as golden holidays not a "blue day" on the list, ev'ry cloud by sunshine kisst, dwelling 'neath hope's beaming rays in God's calendar of days.

In all God's calendar I failed to note one single day when we should idle be, and then a song of joy burst from my throat to think that He my King could use e'en me!

I saw a Christmas time, in fact the first that told story we today repeat of how the Christ was sent to stem and curse a tale that's ever new that's ever sweet
