You // Short surf movie

So, this is the most emotional project I’ve ever made—or shared. It all started as a birthday gift but I soon knew that there is something more. Most of the shots were captured during my trip to Portugal in 23—a trip that didn’t exactly go as planned or maybe, I just didn’t know what I was planning in the first place :) But here’s the lesson I took away: focus on what you have, not on what you don’t.
While we were driving around Portugal, there was my old Youth Lagoon CD “stuck” in the radio. There was just something special about song Posters, and I said out laud, “ "I’m not sure what I’m filming yet, but I know I’m going to build a movie around this song.” And in the end, I did a cover of this song —with a big help from Aleksander Raztresen. Fun times!
The heart of this short movie is about listening to yourself and trusting yourself—especially during the toughest times. As a good friend once told me: “Hard decisions, good life.”
