Don't buy a Yamaha AvantGrand piano

Buyer beware. A very bad investment. Your first repair may cost thousands. If you are thinking of buying a Yamaha AvantGrand because you think it is well made and will save money because it does not need tuning, know that your first repair bill could well exceed the cost of 20 years of tuning. I bought mine from Tom Lee Music in Vancouver, and found it difficult to get them to come for service once the problems began. I have decided not to spend thousands to try to fix it as I have no idea if it will break down again in a year's time. An acoustic piano is a much better investment. Don't be fooled by marketing hype. Please consider other options like a cheaper digital piano or a new or used acoustic paino.
