When you can speak options, you'll be able to better understand ways investors make money using options. Or how they can hedge against worse states of the world in the future. Or how they can utilize leverage to amplify their gains!

Options may or may not be something you'd add to your portfolio. But as they rise in popularity (particularly stock options), it's imperative you know what you're getting yourself into.
