Stargate (1994) Reaction & Review! FIRST TIME WATCHING!!

Stargate was a great time. In my opinion, this was the second-best Roland Emmerich film I’ve seen after The Patriot. The directing was decent, the plot was wildly original, the performances from James Spader and Kurt Russell were pretty good and some of the worldbuilding was fascinating to watch. The movie suffers from some of the same issues of other Emmerich productions, like character development and over-reliance on CGI but as a whole, I really had a good time with this one. The premise itself was worth the price of entry. I probably wouldn’t recommend this film for everybody but for fans of sci-fi, there is a lot to love here.
