November 13, 2017 | The events in Charlottesville and the continuing signs of racial injustice in our nation call for a recommitment to confront racism and bigotry. This unique and urgent conversation will explore the role of religious faith and pursuit of the common good in resisting racism. Speakers will address the following questions and issues:

1. Where we've been, where are we now, and where we need to go as a nation and as people of faith in combating racism and bigotry;
2. religious, civil, and moral values that should guide the choices facing the American people and leaders at this time of division, responsibility, and opportunity;
3. institutional, personal, and spiritual steps to overcome racism, prejudice, and privilege.

The Dialogue will begin with prayer and reflection led by Rabbi Rachel Gartner and will be moderated by John Carr, director of the Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life at Georgetown.
