Welcome back to the channel! Today I’m jumping on my BMW 1250GS for a proper Cambodia escape — a 2.5–3 hour motorbike ride from Phnom Penh down to Kampot, then across to Kep Beach for ocean views, seafood spots, and that laid-back riverside vibe Kampot is famous for.

If you’re an expat living in Cambodia (or planning a trip), this ride is a perfect example of how quickly you can swap city chaos for chilled coastal scenery. I kick the day off with a coffee by the Kampot River, cruise past the Seahorse Fountain & clock tower, and share a few local favourites — from sunset cocktails (hello happy hour) to why Kampot is a great stop if you want something beyond Siem Reap and Angkor Wat.

From there, we ride into Kep, where the coastline opens up: fishing boats, piers, seafood restaurants, and that classic Kep Beach atmosphere.
