Joshua 22, a biblical explanation. Joshua gathered the leaders of the tribes of Reuben, Gad and half of the tribe of Manasseh. These tribes were to inherit the portions of land which were distributed on the other side of the Jordan.

Joshua reminded them that they should never forget the Lord, and they shall keep His commandments and to serve Him with all their hearts and soul.
