Grand Canyon - Grandview Point to Lipan Point, 2024

Описание к видео Grand Canyon - Grandview Point to Lipan Point, 2024

The hike began at Grandview Point and ended at Lipan Point after ascending the Tanner Trail. Our first day had us past Horseshoe Mesa and camp at Hance Creek. Hance Rapids was our second camp. We then hiked the Escalante Route in reverse to Tanner Trail, camping at Escalante Canyon on our third night. Camp five was on the Red Wall. This was a six-day hike that covered approximately 32 miles. We climbed up Papagos Slide on day three. Climbing up the slide is dangerous and not recommended unless significant space between hikers is given.

This hike was done in October 2024. The camp at Hance Creek was overcrowded due to an eleven-person party. The rest of the camps were isolated, not within hearing distance of any other party.

Hiker: Steve DeHaan, Glenn Remelts, Peter VanderMeulen, Joe VanderShuur
