Prasar Bharati Archives presents Tribes of India series. Baiga Adivasis are a forest-dwelling indigenous tribal community reside in the jungles and its fringes around the Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Chhattisgarh border in central India.

The Baiga tribes practice shifting cultivation, called 'bewar' or 'dahiya'. The ancestors of the Baigas spoke an Austroasiatic language and some have mentioned "Baigani" as their mother tongue.
