Driving the new (old) blue Mercedes back to Phuket from Bangkok but taking the road less travelled, today travelling from Kanchanaburi in western Thailand to, firstly, the Tham Khao Luang Caves in Phetchaburi (via Nakhon Pathom), then the short trip to the Gulf of Thailand coast and the unexpected Chao Samran Beach.

The driving took about 2.5 hours from Kanchanaburi to Tham Khao Luang Caves in Phetchaburi, then 30 minutes to Chao Samran Beach.
