Polls predict Poles will change political state of play in election

Campaigning has come to an end and Poland is starting a day of reflection ahead of Sunday's (October 25) general elections.

Two new polls suggest the vote will be a game-changer, with the conservative, eurosceptic Law and Justice Party pegged to win.

If proven to be the case, a new, nationalist-minded, but economically left-leaning, government would be propelled onto the European political scene.
