Charles, son of one of his mistresses, intends to take his birthright, and make the Frankish kingdom greater than any state in Medieval Europe to honour his ancestor’s legacy. Can Charles defeat the traitors in his very heartland, defeat all his ambitious neighbours and enemies, put an end to the barbaric traditions still persistent in Frankish kingdoms and stop an army that was said able to conquer any foes?
