Consumer’s Co-op is suing Christian E. Olsen and Jack Olsen because they want them to pay an unpaid debt owed by their company, ECO of Elkhorn, Inc. Chris Olsen owned most of the company's stock, was the president, and changed his personal account with Consumer's Co-op to a corporate account. The question is whether the court should hold Chris and Jack Olsen personally responsible for the debt by piercing the corporate veil. The court considers whether the corporation was used to avoid responsibility, gain an unfair advantage, or cause harm. Inadequate capitalization and failure to follow corporate procedures are also considered.
