Nestled southwest of the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, the Tomb and Madrasa of Sultan Ala-ud-Din Khilji are significant historical landmarks in Delhi. Established by Ala-ud-Din Khilji, the second Sultan of the Delhi Sultanate, the madrasa served as a college for Islamic scriptures and theology.

Although the central chamber, which houses Ala-ud-Din's tomb, has lost its dome over time, many parts of the structure remain remarkably intact. Ala-ud-Din Khilji ruled from 1296 to 1316 AD and is known for his military conquests and administrative reforms.

It is believed that his body was brought from Siri and interred in this complex, located just in front of the mosque, which is an integral part of the madrasa. This site not only highlights the architectural brilliance of the Khilji dynasty but also offers insights into the educational and religious practices of the era.
